Filling Letter C with Brazilian embroidery flowers.

It was a long time. I was so busy in the office since my boss was in vacation. So didn’t have time to log my progress in new project which I steal time for. Of course I have to steal time from my sleeping and studying time to do this kind of work in weekdays. I finished developing new feature required by our product director Friday late EOD. And got time to go home for the weekend. Going home is one of my favorite things to do. Over the weekend I got one of my friend’s camera phone and snapped some images of my new project. This is the full view of the work in progress.

I wanted a letter to work on and do more Brazilian embroidery designs. So this is my attempt. Choose C for my name and flowers I fell love with.
A detailed view of a rose i tried to embroider..

Sorry for blurred images. Im not a good photographer yet. :)
Used two rounds of cast on stitch in two colors along the diameter of a circle.
More details to come...

Latest Embroidery project

Yesterday i started a new Brazilian embroidery project. I used bullion knot and cast on stitch in former work. but no serious Brazilian embroidery projects before. I learn stitches from Sharon B's stitch dictionary at this link http://inaminuteago.com/stitchindex.html. She make awesome stitch projects. And I'm following Allie's blog for about a year at this link http://alliesinstitches.blogspot.com/. Allie make awesome crazy quilts. that was my first inspiration for my first crazy quilt.

I'm a fulltime employee. So do not have many free times. But i try to find time for my hobby. Currently I don't have a digital camera. So cant post pictures. But I will soon post pictures.

My first post

This is a journal I will try to keep on my life. Currently located at Colombo-Sri Lanka and originally from Rathnapura-Sri Lanka.Rathnapura is a more rural area. I am a software engineer now. I love Sewing, Embroidery, Gardening, Reading and animals. Now it is more than 6 years i'm living in city. Of course i miss country. For weekends i travel to my home at Rathnapura. There are my garden and most sewing and embroidery projects at my home. I will soon post about them.
