Improving blog purpose and heading as ‘An engineer’s sewing and gardening life’

I love gardening as much as I love sewing. When I lived with my parents I grew lot of plants in our home garden including water lilies and orchids. Then I moved to the Colombo city, capital of our island for higher studies. While in university and early two and half years in work I lived in hostels. So I had no space for gardening. About 3 years ago I bought a eleven and half perch land in suburbs of the capital, with building a little home in mind.  I began designing a house and saving money for the task and began building the home two and half years back. Finally first story was finished with fully furnished bedroom, bathroom and kitchen for my moving in. I moved in march 2012 but could not start gardening because still constructions were going on for furnishing other bed room and living room. Later at about December 2012 all the furnishings inside home finished including my indoor garden.  And I happily started gardening again.

Now I have little collection of plants and I think I should maintain a log about my garden. So I decided to update my blog to ‘An engineer’s sewing and gardening life’ and use it to log the progress I make at garden also.

These days I am planing, planting and maintaining my indoor garden mostly since front fences of the property are not up yet. But I couldn't resist a little bird bath and few plants in front of my front door.
