The ‘Nachchimale’ Stream

Our family continues a tradition of our grand parents’ which is an annual arms giving at a Buddhist temple situated in a little forest. We don’t take pictures in the temple out of faithfulness toward privacy of the monks’ living there. This year it was at last weekend. We arrive at evening of day before to the temple and start preparations for cooking. This time we had 16 monks for the arms giving and our assorted family and friends who were there to help. We cooked through Saturday night and prepared breakfast by 4 a.m. with lunch at 10 a.m. since Buddhist monks don’t eat after 12 noon. After preparing food we bath at nearby stream and get ready to go for the arms giving rituals. I took few shots of the stream and wilderness for you J. Stream is very rocky and home to many kinds of native fish and plants.
